Greetings all,

Anyone know how to get a Polycom Soundstation Ex working with a
Norstar MICS system? We have a looooong conference table and
unfortunately the Norstar Audio Conferencing Unit doesn't have
satellite mics. As I understand it, the Ex is an analog unit, so an
ATA needs to be in the loop, but rumor has it that it works.

Thanks,

We use the Polycom Sound Station a lot. It is an analog unit, so it
must be connected to an analog TN.

In some rooms (that are used frequently for conference calls), I just
have an extra analog phone jack in the room to use with the Polycom.

I also have a Konexx DW-INT device that has a digital line input and
both digital and analog outputs. I can use the Polycom unit with any
digital line, because the DW-INT converts it into an analog line.

The DW-INT is about 2x3x8 inches, so it is very portable. It is a
very well-behaved device, and works exactly as you would expect it to
on a digital line with multiple DNs. The device is a bit expensive
($200-$300), but it's cheaper than running an analog line to be used
once or twice.

We've had excellent results with them, probably have 50 or more in use. My
users love them. Yes they are analog.
